Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of PRVod. Please read them carefully before using the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, installing the PRVod GitHub App, or otherwise accessing or using the PRVod service ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and the word "you" refers to that organization.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. Your continued use after any update to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. The Service is intended for developers, engineering teams, and software organizations. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

You may not use the Service if you are prohibited from doing so under the laws of your jurisdiction.

3. Accounts and Account Security

To use the Service you must register an account using a valid email address. You may optionally provide your name and company information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must notify us immediately at our contact page if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your credentials.

You may not share your account with others, create accounts by automated means, or register accounts for the purpose of circumventing usage limits or billing.

4. GitHub App and Repository Access

The Service operates by installing a GitHub App on your GitHub account or organization. By installing the GitHub App, you grant PRVod read access to the repositories and pull requests you specify. You control which repositories the App can access and may revoke that access at any time through your GitHub settings.

We access pull request diffs solely to generate narrated video walkthroughs. We do not claim ownership of your code, your pull request content, or any intellectual property contained in the repositories you connect. Your code remains yours.

Diff content is transmitted to third-party services necessary for video generation (see Section 10 for details). We do not sell, license, or disclose your code or diff content for any purpose other than providing the Service. We retain diff content only as long as necessary to produce the requested video.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to connect a repository to the Service. Do not connect repositories for which you lack appropriate permissions.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Generate videos from repositories you do not own or are not authorized to access.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract proprietary algorithms from the Service.
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features, rate limits, or access controls.
  • Transmit malicious code, viruses, or any content designed to disrupt or damage the Service or other users.
  • Abuse or overload the Service in a way that degrades performance for other users.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation.
  • Resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service without our written consent.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account without prior notice if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated this section.

6. Credits, Billing, and Refunds

The Service uses a credit-based billing model. One credit equals 20 seconds of generated video. Credits are consumed when a video is successfully produced. Credits are not consumed for failed generation attempts caused by our system.

Plans. The Service is offered under Starter, Pro, Team, and Enterprise plans. Plan details, pricing, and included credit allocations are described on the pricing page and are subject to change with reasonable notice.

Beta Pricing. If you subscribe during the beta period, your pricing is locked in for three months from your subscription start date. After that period, your plan may revert to standard pricing. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any price change takes effect.

Credit Expiration. Credits purchased as add-ons expire 12 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase. Credits included in a monthly subscription expire at the end of each billing period and do not roll over unless explicitly described in your plan.

Refunds. All purchases are final. We do not offer refunds on credits that have been used. If you believe credits were consumed due to a Service error on our part, contact us and we will investigate and, at our discretion, issue replacement credits. We do not provide cash refunds for unused credits.

Payment Processing. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. By providing payment information, you agree to Lemon Squeezy's terms of service. We do not store your payment card details on our systems.

Taxes. You are responsible for all taxes, duties, or levies applicable to your purchases, except for taxes on our net income.

7. Intellectual Property

Your content. You retain all ownership rights to your code, pull request diffs, and any other content you submit through the Service. We claim no ownership over your content.

Generated videos. Videos generated from your pull request diffs are yours. You may share, embed, or distribute them as you see fit, subject to any restrictions imposed by third-party platforms you use.

Our property. PRVod, its logo, website, software, and the Service itself are the property of the operator. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any PRVod intellectual property to you.

Feedback. If you provide feedback or suggestions about the Service, you grant us an irrevocable, royalty-free right to use that feedback for any purpose without compensation to you.

8. Service Availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee any specific uptime percentage. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, third-party failures, network issues, or causes beyond our control.

Video generation depends on third-party services including GitHub, Google Cloud, Creatomate, and Cloudflare. Outages or changes to these services may affect PRVod's availability or functionality. We are not liable for disruptions caused by third parties.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of significant changes or discontinuation.

Video retention. Generated videos are stored temporarily. Retention periods depend on your plan. We may delete stored videos after the retention period has elapsed. You are responsible for downloading and preserving any videos you wish to keep long-term.

9. Privacy and Data Handling

We collect and use the personal information you provide (email address, name, company) solely to operate the Service, communicate with you, and process payments. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Pull request diff content is processed transiently. It is passed to generation services to produce your video and is not retained as training data, sold, or shared for any purpose other than video generation.

Our Privacy Policy, incorporated by reference into these Terms, provides full details about what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with the following third-party providers to function:

  • GitHub: pull request data via the GitHub App
  • Google Cloud Text-to-Speech: audio narration generation
  • Creatomate: video rendering and composition
  • Cloudflare R2: temporary video file storage
  • Neon (PostgreSQL): account and job data storage
  • Lemon Squeezy: payment processing

By using the Service, you acknowledge that your data will be processed by these third parties as necessary to deliver the Service. Each provider is subject to its own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for the conduct of these third parties.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY.

We do not warrant that generated videos will be accurate, complete, or free from errors. The narration is produced programmatically from diff content and may not reflect the full context of a change. You are responsible for reviewing generated content before sharing it.

We do not warrant that the Service will meet your specific requirements or that defects will be corrected.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PRVOD, ITS OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or the limitation of liability for certain types of damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PRVod and its operators, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your access to or use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property rights; or (d) any content you submit through the Service.

14. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Unused credits at cancellation are forfeited and are not refundable.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to the Service or other users. We will generally provide notice before termination unless the violation is severe or we are legally required to act immediately.

Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator is established, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action arising out of these Terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively in the courts of that jurisdiction, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts.

16. Dispute Resolution

Before filing a claim, you agree to first contact us at our contact page and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will attempt to resolve any dispute within 30 days of receiving notice.

If informal resolution fails, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration under applicable arbitration rules, on an individual basis. You waive any right to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking emergency injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

17. Modifications to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide notice via email or a prominent notice within the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service before the effective date.

18. General Provisions

Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms applicable to specific features, constitute the entire agreement between you and PRVod regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

No Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

Force Majeure. We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes outside our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, or failure of third-party services.
